Mutula and mango exporters discuss better market access for farmers
A meeting explores farmer education and new opportunities for Makueni’s mango exports.

Mango exporters met Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. to review the county’s trade and consider how local producers could reach more international buyers.
The discussions followed the establishment of the Makueni County Mango Aggregation Centre, a collection hub designed to connect growers with exporters. Agriculture executive Joyce Mutua also took part in the meeting.
Farmer education and stronger market links were central to the talks, with better producer prices among the intended benefits. The meeting placed cooperation between farmers, the county and exporters at the centre of that effort.
