Eighty-one students who completed the 2024 KCSE examinations secured full county government scholarships for university studies. Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. led their orientation and congratulated them on their performance.

The programme supports academically capable learners from disadvantaged households, helping them pursue education that family circumstances might otherwise put out of reach. Mutula encouraged the new scholars to stay focused and use their education to contribute to their communities.

At the time of the announcement, the county said its scholarship programme had supported 758 learners since inception. It reported 295 beneficiaries in secondary school and 217 at university. These are the programme figures published with the August 2025 update.
